Entry 1 -- Self Study Mania!

My my...I'm in a foreign place, with a foreign keyboard, where the y key and z key is switched, where the 'at' symbol is nowhere to be found (I must go to hotmail and copy and paste it, for all I know).

Yet that doesn't stop me from blogging o=.

No I'm not that dedicated. I just have a computer, and nothing to do.

Actually quite the opposite. Hence the title, and partly why I started this entry. I am now self-studying AP HUMAN GEO! Yea!

How is it? Well I am using only Barron's AP Human Geography, 2nd edition study aid...hope it covers the exam well enough so I won't walk into the exam without knowing what is up. Even if it doesn't do a good job covering, it sure does a good job keeping me entertained! (Human geo is just as interesting as psych! Though, in terms of things with interest, I say its best not to hear from me. I find many things interesting ;))

I haven't had access to the Internet previously, so as of now, entry 1 (can't find the 'number' symbol), I have already finished approximately...2 out of 8 chapters. So far on schedule.

Reflection? I must say it is very interesting. Especially as I am self-studying AP Psych and World (maybe I'll continue to study World -- see my reflection regarding that) at the same time, and human geo (with its relative 'easiness') is a good contrast that I enjoy after my brain is full of Psych and World details.

Human Geo so far has quite a lot of the 'listing' that at first went on in the beginning of Psych, where the different methods were taught to us. (Rather, they were printed on the page and we had it...self-studied to us?) But somehow I feel that even so, human geography is even more interesting! Perhaps it is the 'contrast', as after all the 3 subjects that I am self-studying use different parts of the brain.

I think.

For those who are interested in self-studying AP Human Geo, I must say that it is quite an experience! It is not hard, and is definitely enjoyable! And if I say it isn't hard, then trust me, it isn't hard =P.

Plus, there are only 8 chapters to cover, as normally if taken in school it is only a semester course.

And if you have the interest like I do (even if it is just the slightest interest) in humans' impact on the environment and their migration patterns, etc, then it'll make the process even easier.

In fact, in contrast to Psych where I have several different experiences, this is so straightforward that I might not add another entry until after I'm done. (Of course, AP Psych was technically the first one I self-studied and had the 'benefit' of the whole thing being a new experience, etc etc)
