Scholarship Searching
Due to the recent financial crisis, one would think that the search for scholarships would skyrocket.
For those who are willing to work hard so that your parents won't have to work as hard and can retire faster (this is why I am doing this -- I can't stand my current high school's extremely high tuition. But with parents who wishes the best for their kids, you can't convince them) I've searched up some sites with good websites.
FastWeb
You may have heard of this, but how good is it, really?
Well now I have an account and I must say, it has all my scholarships in one list. Literally, all the scholarships I am eligible for (you can very quickly fill out a profile saying your location, your citizenship, your current student occupational status, what you are shooting for which provides a very narrow and accurate list) are there in a list.
Noteworthy is how the scholarships are organized in chronological order, very helpful as I can know which essays to focus on or not.
The list consists of links of each scholarship which links to a page with a brief description of the scholarship (usually in this description you'll immediately know if you are "truly" eligible -- which reminds me -- the discard function is extremely useful as it'll just get the scholarship out of your neat list if you know you won't be interested/can't make it/is not eligible) where there is a link to the scholarship website for more information.
Everything is all in one place. And lists...I like those. Favorites can be added -- another perk.
Worth checking out.
